Photoshoot in action

Totally delighted when Chris Latter from Gwili Potttery suggested they come and do a photoshoot in the gardens at Pen Y Garn featuring some of their floral pottery. What a great way to spend an afternoon seeing some of my favourite pots and a chance to show off the garden to Chris.

Inside shots

The light was perfect and we started off in the cottage itself with a shot of some of Gwili storage jars on the Welsh Dresser.  The colour combination is really good and the pallet of flowers from the garden perfectly harmonises with the pottery.  It was definitely a team effort putting things together to set up the shot.

Outside shots

We moved in to the garden and on the pretext of selecting the best place for the next shots I was able to flaunt my garden..  Mike had just moved the lawns so we were looking rather gorgeous though I say so myself.  After raiding the potting shed for my more tasteful gardening tools, (mainly presents from my children), we set about creating the next scene.  I think the sweet peas go really well and even my rather grubby gardening gloves are a good colour match.

The well used gardening gloves can be once again seen here in all their glory.  They certainly gave an air of authenticity to the photo.  Anyway great fun was had by all and as a bonus the photos were pretty good too.

There are plenty of leaflets in both Pen Y Garn Cottage and 94 High Street with details of how to find Gwili.  There is also some information on the days they offer where you can decorate your own pots.  My daughter and I has a fabulous day doing this and made some personalised Christmas presents which were very well received.

Having seen how beautifully the range of Gwili pots fits in at Pen Y Garn I think I am going to have to invest in a few more.
